The United States federal minimum wage should be enough to support the American Dream and it is the government's job to make sure that it is helpful and can support everyone. In certain states the minimum wage is 7.25 or lower and in other states it is 9.00 and higher which of course, is unequal. The point of raising it is so we won’t have many “near minimum wage workers.” Others say that raising the minimum wage would cost hundreds of thousands of jobs, but it would also be helping the millions of people who need it raised the most (minorities.)
