Since 1784, we have had the idea of DST but was not implemented in the U.S. until 1942 when President Roosevelt instituted the idea for "War Time" benefits. Since 1942, DST has had many changes throughout the U.S. and has been debated if it is beneficial or not. Many Americans struggle during the changeover and removing DST would allow a more up to date standard and cohesiveness amongst Americans especially when we "lose" an hour. I know farmers use DST to their advantage to gain more sunlight, but businesses should adjust their own schedules. The American people as a whole gains no benefit from adjusting their sleep. Please consider removing DST so that it isnt mandatory for those that do not need the adjustment.
Thank you
