Consider rescheduling Ibogaine/Iboga to make it legal for the use of substance abuse treatment and/or research thereof.

Created by J.M. on February 10, 2013

Ibogaine is currently being used in Mexico, Canada, and several European countries as an option for substance abuse treatment and even as a replacement of traditional psychotherapy. I am asking that Ibogaine be rescheduled and made legal for the use of, at least, research in the field, or at best, for the use of substance abuse treatment in the United States. There have been many studies, along with a plethora of personal experience reports, that prove, or come close to, the theory that Ibogaine can "interrupt" an addiction. The traditional treatment we have now is only successful for a small portion of Americans and many are seeking alternative options to achieve sobriety once and for all, as traditional therapy, rehab, and maintenance therapy have failed them or made matters worse.
