In the event of a mass shooting it is significant that an armed and rational citizen is in an excellent position to stop or mitigate the effects of one or more gunmen. When seconds count, law enforcement can be minutes away.
Teachers, administrators, and other personnel working in America's schools should be allowed to have firearms available to them as well as proper training in their use.
We trust armed citizens working as law enforcement agents, military personnel, and security guards to protect our country, property, and persons; but not for school personnel to protect our children. This needs to be changed. Those bent on committing gun related crimes are breaking the law, and new laws will only be broken as well. More gun-control is not the answer. Repeal gun-free school zones.
