The purpose of this petition is to is two fold: assist those with student loan debt, at the same time boost the economy by allowing money to flow back into the system. Students are not getting help with student loan debt in general. On top of struggling with school loans, it is difficult for former students to increase their credit scores due to hardships with student loans decreasing credit scores. Also, if former students can increase their credit score, their income to debt ratio tends to be so high applying for loans such as auto or home becomes difficult or a "qualified" co-signer is necessary. The handcuffs are hindering the progress not only of each individual person's life but our economy. Student loans should be exempt when a person applies for personal loans such as auto or home.
