Jon Stewart is one the country's most trusted media spokesperson. As host of the nightly talk-show, The Daily Show, Mr. Stewart appeals to a wide demographics of viewers on the left and right. He has proven a strong knowledge of national issues, and has the ability to cut through the hyperbole and deliver information in a unique, entertaining, and insightful way. As White House Press Secretary, Mr. Stewart would excel as media spokesperson for the President. He would have the poise and intelligence to communicate rationally to the media, and the wit and savvy to ridicule and insult them if necessary. He is trustworthy, insightful, and most importantly, entertaining. For these reasons, we petition that the President strongly consider Jon Stewart for White House Press Secretary.
