The U.S. government has shown a pattern of subverting the Constitution and Bill of Rights by "interpreting" them in such a way that reduces freedoms of the people and strengthens the governments capacity (and willingness) for such acts as warrantless searches, self-defense from rogue police forces, and other incursions of the government into the lives of citizens.
Additionally, the founding documents have increasingly been "interpreted" in a manner that reduces the People's right to freedom of speech, the right to bear arms etc.
The Constitution and Bill of Rights should *always* be "interpreted" in a manner that protects Freedom of the People -- as was the original intent of the Founders -- not in a way that makes it easier for the government to restrict the people.
