Consider consolidating the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force into one U.S. Military in order to save money by eliminating duplicated activities (like purchasing, recruiting, weapons development). The U.S. Military would be more efficient, eliminating the need to communicate and coordinate between four different entities. We should not let sentimental affection for one of the current branches of the military stop us from considering this very simple approach to making a better, streamlined, and less wasteful military.
