consolidate school years

Created by N.K. on March 31, 2013

Because of the competitive job environment we live in, the average age of youth entering the workforce is increasing generationally. Today we need ever higher education to attain the proper skillset to be able to do our jobs proefficiently. Our grandparents started working out of school, our parents needed bachelors degree to be even considered and today we are moving more towards Post-graduation as the basic norm. Present job scenario demands a higher skill-set, but we can probably do more about the schooling system to gain a couple of years. I propose consolidating our school system from 12 grades to maybe 11 or even 10 grades, by streamlining the courses to remove redundancy between grades (6-12) and giving back a few more years, in effect, motivating the youth to gain bachelors degree.
