Term limits would increase rotation within the Senate and Congress and reduce, though not eliminate, this influence. Separate legislation to limit campaign spending would further democratize this process; running for office should not require so great a financial commitment as to require (indirect) corporate sponsorship, and the subsequent obligations that entails.
