Constitutional Amendment Requiring Future Presidential Nominees/Candidates To Pass a TS Background Check.

Created by B.L. on November 18, 2016

To me it makes sense for presidential candidates to under go some type of background check because classified info is major part of the job. When a candidate enters the race, they have to agree to background check. By the time the parties have their conventions the checks should be done. I had a TS clearance. While under going Basic/AIT (5 months) I remember 5 soldiers who had get new MOS, because they did not get the clearance. If this amendment was in was in place there would be no ambiguity about the president elect taxes or foreign ties. I believe it would weed out bad candidates and make way for more serious candidates.
