We the people have called on Congress to pass laws reforming the means by which the political process is funded. Lobbying and elections financing by major donors unjustly affect the outcome of votes by those who govern. Decade after decade our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. It is time that we citizens took matters into our own hands, for if we don't, reform will never happen. We need to return to a time when our public servants are not bought and sold.
A Constitutional Convention allows the citizenry a chance to circumvent Congress on matters so grave that we need to take action. It is a gift given to us by the Founding Fathers within the Constitution, itself.
