In response to the Obama administration's refusal to build a "Death Star," it is incumbant upon our nation to defend herself from enemies, both known and unknown, and their own "Death Stars."
The US military currently does not employ any spaceworthy craft in its arsenal to defend us from a "Death Star" threat. This petition is to request that the administration pusue and secure funding for the research, development, and construction of a fleet of single-pilot spacecraft along with training of pilots and support personnel.
This initiative will not only improve our posture on extraplanetary defense, but will also create countless American jobs and provide invaluable research into improved space travel and human survivability in zero gravity environments.
