I believe that a Light Saber could be a perfect appliance for Self-Defense if used by Law Enforcement Agents. Obviously It would be perfect for attackers up close and could easily be used to get inside a suspect's locked home or vehicle. Intimidation could also be a good use for the Light Saber. The heat emitting from the blade and the bright glow could easily scare a suspect from running.
