The Death Star is several times too costly and large to make it feasible. A Star Destroyer will be approximately 1.5 kilometers across and will cost approximately 90 billion dollars. It would signification boost our economy with the unprecedented job growth and find a new source of energy both for home and space travel, It could also function as a way to ferry people to different planets once spacecraft are made to bring people from the Star Destroyer to the planet or asteroid. Once the first one is made, it should not be that difficult to make a fleet of them, thus providing America and humanity a significant way to advance rapidly and protect against unexpected invaders. The star destroyes would consist of smaller spacecrafts, railguns and radiation based weapons for self defense.
