As one of the most modernized countries in the world, much consdieration should be taken to convert the USA to the Metric system. Currently their is only 3 Countries that have not made the transition to the metric system. These Countries are Liberia, Myanmar, and the United States.
Many countries we think of as similar to the United States such as Canada, the UK, & Austrailia have all made the transition. As the rest of the world has converted to the metric system freely, as we continue to wait we see the consequence. The metric system has been proven better for science and trade. If any for any reason at all this may be the reason we should convert. Imagine a visitor from the USA on a trip, & not knowing exactly how far his next stop is (in km). Doesn't it make sense to convert to metric?
