Criolla Week is a horrid tradition where Gaucho's (the equivalent to Cowboys here in america) pick a wild horse and try to break it. This involves tethering the horses legs to posts, allowing it to thrash about until it could either hurt or kill itself, beating it with a thick leather whip and pushing an already fearful horse past its limits.
Criolla Week is simply abuse for entertainment and we sign this petition in the hopes that the Obama administration will kindly request the termination of this morbid practice.
