Hanford Nuclear Reservation holds massive amounts of dangerous cancer causing, life threatening elements that if not contained will cause generations of human and ecologic suffering. The storage tanks are leaking! The discussion has revolved about how to store the material long term but this is a massive undertaking and has been stalled for over 40 years.
President Obama, please champion CONTAINMENT FIRST. Then we can debate and work on long term solutions. This will be the public health victory of the century.
