Continue accepting Syrian refugees

Created by R.R. on November 16, 2015

In spite of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, we call for the continued admittance of Syrian refugees into the United States. Seven states have already declared that they will not allow the resettlement of refugees there, and several presidential candidates have called for tighter restrictions and even a full ban on accepting Syrian refugees.

We the People of the United States are not afraid of refugees. We call for compassion for the victims of ISIS and the civil war in Syria. ISIS is our enemy, not the people fleeing them.

We acknowledge the importance of security, and know it will be difficult to safely process large numbers of refugees. But it would be wrong to shut our doors to people in need out of fear. We will not let ISIS scare us away from helping suffering people.
