The VA is overall accomplishing a great task in prioritizing the education of Veterans.
Some dangerous blind spots still exist in the effective speed of the process at the rise of specific issues related to individual cases.
For example, a Veteran changes school, attends classes at a new school after submitting proper documents to the VA, and applies for extension of benefits. The new school certifying official certifies attendance and enrolment. The VA has not processed payment for attendance after 17 days of reception of the certification and the delay is growing after many phone calls that the VA answered politely and professionaly.
In summary, Veterans need to be able to converse with a case manager with the direct authority to present specific issues for timely processing.
