Narendra Modi's party just won the National elections in India and will in all likelihood be nominated to become the prime minister of the country. In the past, the US has denied him a visa on recommendation from the the United States Commissio(USCIRF)n on International Religious Freedom due to alleged links to the Gujrat riots in 2002 where thousands of innocent Muslims including women and children were killed. Not him, but his cabinet ministers have been convicted including his then Minister for Women and Children for distributing swords during the riots.

We the petitioners believe that the basis for previous recommendations from USCIRF for denying him a visa continue to hold today and the policy shouldn't change because of this election result.
