continue funding of the STARBASE programs.

Created by F.W. on April 17, 2014

STARBASE is a Department of Defense community outreach program that offers classrooms of 5th grade students an inspiring, 5-day, 25-hour, hands-on curriculum that emphasizes the application of science, technology, engineering, and math. The curriculum meets common core educational standards, reinforcing subjects taught in school, while providing the experiences in an exciting manner not possible in a traditional classroom setting. STARBASE fosters social development through exposure to positive role models, and develops teamwork, enthusiasm to learn, and greater confidence in the students. Sadly, STARBASE is under threat of termination due to budget cuts, effective October 1, 2014. Please voice your support of continued funding of this extraordinary program.
