Continue on the path of raising awareness of the gaps in national gun control and how we deal with mental illness.

Created by G.G. on January 18, 2013

The Obama administration has started a national dialogue concerning gun control reform and addressing how this nation sees and deals with mental illness.

The current debate is centered around whether our civil liberties are at risk by these measures, but what seems to be missing from the debate is that within the past six months there have been three mass shootings in public spaces in this country, not to mention the already high levels of gun violence on the streets in some areas.

The Obama administration is heading in the right direction in addressing these tough issues. There needs to be a dialogue on why the country with the largest military and the largest military spending has the most gun deaths among its civilians perpetrated by other civilians.
