If the Palestinians request membership at the United Nations again this September, President Obama should use the United State's position on the Security Council to veto the request (as he did last year).
The president should continue to stand with our number one ally. Opponents demagogue Israel as an "occupier" or an extention of colonialism, ignoring not only Israel's promotion of our vital interests (like combatting terrorism), but it's shining example of democracy in the Middle East (women have equal rights, people of all faiths are welcomed, etc.). As Elliot Abrams explains, the claim of "5 million Palestinian refugees" is almost laughable and the generous Israelis offered Palestine a $1 billion loan!
