Control juvenile access to violent media.

Created by K.S. on December 15, 2012

President Barack Obama,

Americans grow tired of seeing children gunned down senselessly on our streets and in our schools.

Recent tragedies have highlighted the debate about sensible gun control in America, and rightly so.

Left out of the debate is the role of the media in driving these acts of violence. Studies have shown a link between exposure to violent media and the propensity of violent behavior, especially among the young or those with predispositions towards violence. They desensitize people to the reality of violence or act as virtual "training manuals" to carry out acts of violence.

Please work with Congress to draft meaningful regulation of violent media, give parents the tools to protect a child's mind as well as their body.

Thank you for your time and consideration
