convene Congress under Article2 Section 3 of the US Constitution, and hold them in session till they do their jobs.

Created by S.L. on March 05, 2013

Under Article 2 Section 3 of the US Constitution, the president has the authority, in "extraordinary circumstances", to convene congress and hold them in session until "such time as he shall think proper". The House plans to be in session for 126 days this year. That's actually an improvement over their 107 days they were in session in 2012. It's time for our representatives to get to work, talk to each other, and reach compromises. It's what they were elected to do, and it's time they took their jobs seriously. If they won't come to work, give them furlough so they feel the impact so many Americans are experiencing today.
