I propose to convene a council of all the current living presidents with the purpose to create a formal list of prerequisites that any person wishing to run for the office of the President of the United States must meet.
Who better to know what it takes to be president, than the men who have already done it. They might not all have been "good" presidents, but they know what it took to get the job done.
The intent is to narrow the field. This year's election is a circus. That is not an opinion. That is fact. 75% of the candidates have absolutely NO RIGHT to be in contention for the MOST IMPORTANT JOB IN THE WORLD.
Creating a list of areas a candidate must be knowledgeable in, or very familiar with could be crucial to giving Americans viable choices when voting, instead of the lesser evil
