While millions of gamers worldwide will never take a weapon outside of their "game" rooms, there are mentally challenged individuals many of whom thrive on the adrenaline rush they receive from the games who seek to make a name for themselves in the real world. While I do not understand the logic of murdering innocents it is a pervasive way of earning extra points in most of these violent games and in the movies murder has become common place and accepted as part of the story-line.
This issue I am proposing has been looked at since the early 70's and has resulted in movie and game ratings but no serious legislation has been enacted to truly regulate the use by underage children and mentally disturbed individuals.
What effect do violent games and movies have on a developing brain?
