With the pinch of fuel prices dragging the economy we could save hand over fist by converting all public service vehicles to more efficient ones. Imagine a mail truck unplugging from the garage and doing his route on far less petrol, maybe none at all. Instead of a roaring v-8 cops could drive more compact cruisers purpose built for the job. They can still put the hammer down and go like stink with a forced induction system attached to 4 or 6 cylinders. With ethanol, propane, natural gas and many other alternative fuels we have so many options to mix and match with.
