We need a 25 year plan for Natural Gas conversion in transportation and energy production. By changing the fuel of choice for trucking, shipping, trains, cars and power plants we can help ensure a cleaner environment for our nation and for the world. A new paradigm where the nation is moved by natural gas or electricity produced by natural gas, and renewable energy sources, will make us more energy independent while aiding both our economy and the environment. We need a future where gas and diesel cars and trucks and are phased out completely by 2040. Electric trains and CNG powered ships could help further this process. Power plants need to be converted and expanded to use cleaner Natural Gas in order to help power our new paradigm of energy production and usage.
