Trading partners prefer products and services based on the Metric System and it would help prepare the workforce to work in a global market place. 95% of the world uses the Metric System, therefore trading with other countries would be easier and would increase profits for businesses. The Standard English System uses all different units that don't even relate to each other and are difficult to calculate, however the Metric System is based on factors of ten which are easy to convert mentally. The outdated English System was used in the 1700's when we traded primarily with England. Even England doesn't use it anymore! The Obama Administration needs to take action on a range of important issues facing our country and revive the economy putting the USA back on the right track.
