Convert the United States to the Metric System of Measurement.

The United States is one of the last to use a non-metric standard measuring system. This petition is for the Obama administration to start an inevitably long shift from the US Standard system to the Metric system. This will make us more congruous with both our foreign peers as well as scientific systems. The shift would include things such as speed limit signs and laws to km/h, Governmental temperature reading in degree Celsius, and FDA Product information laws to Liters and Grams. This process would not be by any means fast, but having the Obama Administration start this process will start a trend in lawmaking that will bring the United States up to date with current standardized methods.
