Convert unused prisons into homes for the homeless.

Created by A.C. on June 23, 2013

I propose that the Government should make unused prisons into small apartments for the homeless. It should be a basic right for every American to have access to shelter. If the government renovates the prisons and sells the bars; then, it could put regular fronts with doors in their place. This would get the homeless off of our streets. If shelters took control over the prisons then they would also have a kitchen to feed the homeless, a medical facility to treat the homeless, and a library to teach the homeless. This would also help discouraged workers try to get back into the workforce because they have an address.

Please help fight homelessness. Shelter should be a basic human right.
