Converting the $1.00 coin problem from a $2 Billion loss into a $3 Billion profit.

Created by R.R. on January 20, 2013

To solve the problem with the accumulating $1.00 coins in Federal vaults, I propose that the government sells, for a limited time, the coins at 10% discount to banks and then for banks to sell them at 5% discount to people. The banks will sell 100 $1 coins for 95 $1 bills. My idea will turn the $2 Billion loss that the program now faces into a $3 Billion profit for the government plus other positive effects in the national economy. Please go to
