Convince the Baseball Hall of Fame's Golden Era Committee to induct Dodger and Met great Gil Hodges to the Hall of Fame

The late Gil Hodges had a remarkable career playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets. Hodges also managed the "Amazin' Mets" in 1969 to a World Series championship. Hodges was one of the greatest sluggers in the 1950's and had a phenomenal glove as well. While he was often in the running for admission to the Hall of Fame, unfortunately he did not receive the requisite 75% threshold under the normal voting procedures. The 16-member Golden Era Committee will be meeting this year to discuss admitting a player from the era of 1947- 1972. We call on the President to recommend Gil Hodges, a baseball hero and a wonderful person, to the Committee.
