We have heard in the news that the party of Mr. Nerendra Modi, the BJP (under the agenda of the RSS), wants all the people of India to be Hindu. They are therefore bringing much trouble to Christians and Muslims. They are beating Christians, raping their wives and daughters, and burning their churches. In some towns in south Gujarat, they are refusing to sell food to Christians. The police are not listening to the complaints of the Christians, but are siding with the persecutors. They say they are a secular country, but they are forcing Christians to convert to Hinduism. Mr. President, we request that you speak to Mr. Modi and insist that he make this treatment of minorities stop. We in the United States allow freedom for all religions. We believe that India should do the same.
