Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D) affects millions of U.S. Citizens; not simply Veterans returning from combat. Currently, the Social Security Administration does not recognize P.T.S.D as a disability, and will not provide disability compensation to those diagnosed with this treatable illness.
The symptoms of this illness can be found in any medical dictionary, and all such symptoms demonstrate the fact that one with the illness is incapable of functioning in society. Only after proper treatment can one gradually become a functioning member of society. During this time of treatment, those who suffer from the illness are unable to work and deserve some form of disability compensation while undergoing treatment.
Please sign and support not just Veterans, but others as well.
