this petition is to stop the misinformation in the US news media. We no longer have news networks, we have companies that report on pure speculation and personal feelings. Channels like but not limited to Fox that call themselves news and purposely mislead the US population. We should introduce legislation similar to the Canadian radio act. if you want to be considered news you must report the truth or rename your organization and provide a disclaimer stating that this is parody. however if you claim to be news and you are caught lying to the public you will lose your airtime and face steep penalties. News needs to be for the American people again not for corporate greed and special interests.
