The US Supreme Court recently ruled in CITIZENS UNITED v. FEDERAL ELECTION COMMISSION that Corporations were afforded protection under the 1st Amendment because they are a group of People. Not all shareholders or employees of Corporations are US citizens. Since the Constitution is a contract between citizens/People of the United States, the rights under the constitution should only provide protection to citizens. Since it is in the best interest of the United States to protect itself from foreign interest, the 1st Amendment should not be invoked to protect individuals or groups of people outside of the US in an effort to influence US elections. We therefor petition that only Corporations of US Citizens, shareholders and employees, speaking under agreement be afforded 1st Amendment rights.
