Correctly Label Foods that Contain ANY Trans-Fats whatsoever.

Created by N.A. on November 06, 2013

According to fda.gov," If a serving contains less (trans fat) than 0.5 gram, the content, when declared, must be expressed as '0 g.' "

There is not clear ruling on how small a serving size may be, so in an attempt to make it seem as if there is no trans-fat, companies can just reduce the serving size to make the trans-fat content 0.

This should not be allowed. The trans-fat content should clearly be labeled as the exact # amount in grams that contains per serving, as trans-fat in any amount is very unhealthy/detrimental to the human body.

Also, the trans-fat should be clearly labeled trans-fat instead of just "partially hydrogenated" oils of any sort. This is unclear and not everyone can point this out or understand, and its just a way to make it more confusing and less clear for people
