While we're talking about government agencies, we'd also have to form our own variants of the FBI (and associated intelligence communities) FDA, CDC, and post office. NASA, which by the way is government operated, would leave Houston, taking billions of dollars and thousands of jobs with it.
We'd also have to come up with new ways of paying for education. The federal government gave out one billion dollars in Pell Grants last year; that wouldn't work anymore."
