CPS workers put their lives in danger every day and are paid less than school teachers and cops.

CPS workers don't wear a vest or carry a weapon and they go into dangerous situations all the time yet they barley make enough to live on let alone support a family on. This creates a high turn over rate for the job and a lack of qualified people willing to do the job which in turn puts kids in danger.
