Prison gangs have been running the drug war and other crimes while staying safe in the prison system. It is becoming more of a problem that the government tends to neglect. Most prison gangs that are notorious in and out of prison have international and domestic connections to fulfill the same duties as if they weren't even in prison. Prison gang crimes can range from drug trafficking, prison prostitution, murder for hire, even prison homicide. It makes no sense for a Criminal to be arrested, thrown into prison and then welcomed by thousands of gang members.
