"Cradle to Grave" registration of firearms would allow the legally registered owner of any firearm to be charged for crimes committed with their firearms. If a crime is committed with your gun, you will face charges in court, along with the criminal, unless you have followed the proper, legal channels to transfer ownership, or have filed a police report for a stolen weapons. This holds parents responsible for their weapons and requires responsible action in safeguarding those weapons from their children. It allows law enforcement to track, prevent and prosecute those illegally selling weapons to criminals without background checks. It also does not interfere with responsible owner's right to owning firearms.
