This is a petition to ask the Obama Administration to craft, push, and sign legislation that would address climate change comprehensively, including, but not limited to, the following:
- a reduction in carbon emissions based on what scientists say we need to do to curb the worst effects of global warming. Cap and trade is one possibility. A carbon tax is another.
- moving away from fossil fuels towards truly renewable sources of energy like wind and solar through taxes, subsidies, and incentives
- investment in public transportation that uses clean energy
