Crazy idea, but we should tax unnecessary things, not life necessities.

Created by M.W. on September 30, 2011

We should keep highly taxing cigarettes and alcohol, but why not junk foods, like: soda, chips, candy, and anything else unhealthy. Then we could stop taxing foods, like vegetables, fruits, breads, and milks. If it's a necessity we shouldn't have a tax on it, but if it's not needed to survive there should be a tax. Not only will it help with the obesity problem in children and adults, it'll help families who live paycheck to paycheck.
