I am a tax paying, patriotic, American. I was working a job where I worked roughly 65-90hrs/wk. I was trying to get ahead and pay off my debt, but the harder and longer I worked, the more the government took. On top of that, since I am single with no kids, the government thinks I deserve less of my earnings and took more.
I believe that there should be a 10% flat tax for everyone. Unless a family makes less than $30,000 a year, everyone should pay the same percentage of taxes. If a family makes less than the fore mentioned amount, then that family should pay no federal taxes. People should not be punished with high taxes for being successful and on the other hand, persons should not be rewarded for not providing for there family.
