A two term limit will reduce the amount of political corruption and the control that lobbyists have over our congressmen. Many member of congress run unopposed due to the fact that their campaigns are funded by individuals and corporations instead of on their own merit and popular opinion and as a result the American people are not accurately represented in Washington. Congress would never consider legislation like this because it would take away their jobs and "special deals" that keep them in office and that is why I am petitioning President Obama to take action in this matter.
