Create a $200 bill featuring an accomplished American female and leave the $10 bill featuring Alexander Hamilton alone.

Created by D.V. on July 10, 2015

A proposal is currently pending to remove Alexander Hamilton from the $10.00 bill and to replace him with a yet-to-be-named woman. Recognizing women is important, but Alexander Hamilton was the first Secretary of the Treasury and is the father of American banking. Therefore, it is inappropriate to remove Hamilton from the $10.00 bill. Instead, a new $200.00 bill can be created, featuring an accomplished American woman. This solution will preserve Hamilton, will recognize the important role of women in American society, will provide stability to the American monetary supply, and will introduce a high denomination for use by consumers. The $100.00 bill is the highest denomination in general circulation. A new $200.00 bill is needed. Thanks, Dean W. Van Dress, Berea, Ohio.
