Using 21st century security techniques we can provide a two factor system to social security numbers to curb identify theft and Medicare/Medicaid fraud. The DOD already does this for some of it’s employees as well. This would be applied to the social security number to make the number by itself worthless if you were to acquire it thus making the system more secure. These new digital cards would replace new social security cards(size of a credit card) and will NOT contain any wireless electronics of any kind. This system would also be able to mark lost or stolen cards and flag their activity as fraud.
This would allow our federal government to save the current 60 billion in fraud medicare has currently.
Please vote for this to push our antiquated social security number into the 21st century.
